We are so happy to announce the arrival of Reverend Mark Braden as Northminster's Interim Pastor. Rev. Braden has specialized in transitional interim ministry and has a heart for pastoral care, preaching and working with small groups.
The pastor search committee has been working for several months now, reviewing resumes from many candidates and narrowing down the field to a select few that they believe will be a good fit as an interim pastor. This person will serve and guide our congregation while we continue with the long term search for a permanent called pastor.
I recently finished a book called The Slight Edge by Jeff Olson. His message is simple and attainable for all of us, but it takes consistency. It is that we each have the ability to be our best, and getting there is a matter of simple choices we make each day.

About a year ago, I joined a small group of women whose purpose was to work through the Lyfe study series. We’ve completed this and have recently moved onto reading The Good and Beautiful God by John Mohler. John’s book was suggested as a good tool to help not only with personal growth, but one that might aid as we seek the right path for our future as a church.
